"If only there was a drink small enough to fit through any bottle neck."

That's what Martin thought in the spring of 2016 on a flight to Singapore. Together with his brother Henry and his friend Christoph, they turned this vision into reality and just like that, the Microdrink was born. With the finest of fruit and plant extracts compressed into a small cube, all you need is fresh water.

And that's how it should be.

Our company history

From our founders’ kitchen table to a growing global community. The past few years have been full of groundbreaking (and water-breaking) moments. This is our story so far...

2016

THE IDEA

In the heart of Vienna, our founders came together with a simple mission: to help people drink more water and live healthier and more sustainable lives.

2017

WATERDROP® IS BORN

The first waterdrop® microdrinks took shape: a small, convenient cube that enriched water with natural fruits and plant extracts, setting a new standard for hydration.

2018

SPREADING THE WORD

Word spread quickly, and a growing community formed around our mission. We opened our first pop-up stores, inviting everyone to taste and experience waterdrop®.

2019

INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

As demand grew, we expanded across Europe. We launched our online shop in multiple countries and welcomed new team members to help carry our mission forward.

2020

A GROWING FAMILY

Despite global challenges, we adapted and innovated. We launched new flavours, introduced new hydration accessories, and expanded into the United States.

2021

BROADENING HORIZONS

Continuing our journey, we forged partnerships and focused on sustainability, introducing eco-friendly packaging and reinforcing our commitment to making the world a more hydrated place.
